Here's how it works - Fill out the Request Information form, reference Design from a Distance, and fill in your contact information. We will send you a general questionnaire to fill out, along with graph paper to sketch your space. You will also be asked to measure the room(s), noting windows, doors and floor vent placement, and we will need some pictures of every wall of your space. Once we receive all your information and payment we will start working on a unique design that will fit your needs, personality and vision.
Here's what you will receive - In as little as 3 weeks, up to 6 weeks, you will receive, in the mail, a completed design with instructions that you can implement at your own pace. Inside the box you will find a scale drawing of your space with a furniture layout plan, accessory placement and lighting plan, if needed. You will be sent 8.5x11 size color samples, fabric recommendations when needed, website links for suggested items to purchase, printed examples of the style and size furniture, window treatments, lighting, flooring, area rugs. Instructions for completing the finished design and a timeline checklist you can use to track what items you've purchased and their expected delivery date, along with a guide for figuring out when each item suggested should be ordered. You will also have unlimited email support for 30 days, and access to a weekly 20 minute call with your designer. Time starts when you make your first call or send the first email.
Are you a do-it-yourself type? Then this service is perfect for you.
Design from a Distance is for people out of the area, who want to work with us. People who like to do their own projects, but would appreciate the advice from a professional Interior Designer. This service could save you money over hiring a designer to come to your home, while allowing you more control over the timeframe you'd like the work to be completed in. Costly mistakes that usually derail a project and frustrate a home owner can be avoided by having a good plan in place and a diagram for how to stay on track and budget.
